Eat and Drink
Volta sits beneath the historic Porxos de Fontseré arches, bringing together the spirit of Western Mediterranean cooking with Barcelona’s local bounty and the Italian roots of Executive Chef Andrea De Benedictis. The name speaks to both the architectural curve above and the idea of voltar, to wander at an unhurried pace, which runs through everything we do. Andrea’s cooking is guided by the seasons, built on fresh produce and timeless techniques that move naturally between Spain and Italy, with sharing dishes made for connection around the table. An extension of the restaurant, Volta Bar nods to Italy’s aperitivo ritual, a place for gathering, sipping and savouring. By day, the skylight fills the space with light; by night, it softens into an intimate setting for drinks inspired by classic aperitivo traditions.
